Share a Good Book!
Bertrand Russell (who provided us with Why I Am Not a Christian and a 379 page proof that 1 plus 1 equals to 2) once said that "There are two motives for reading a book: one, that you enjoy it; the other, that you can boast about it."
Books are good, for entertainment, education and enrichment. But they are expensive if you keep buying all the books you want/ought to read, and you may not like it after the first few pages and regret the costly purchase. Alternatively you can get it from the library, but there's no guarantee the book you want is available, or even have its pages complete.
Well, i have quite a shelfful of books over the years, and they are busy making friends and collecting dust together. Unfortunately they haven't been producing little baby books for me to read (are they all gay?). I don't mind lending them out to friends if they are interested in reading them or checking them out (which is already happening anyway). Hence, this project to list out my books so others can borrow them. And also to remind certain people that they are holding on to my books *stares hard*
Another benefit will be that we don't buy repeats of the same title when the money can be spent on other books. Unless you are getting it so it looks good on your shelf or table or for this reason... "Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it." ~P.J. O'Rourke
I'll try to link each title to its own page entry so comments/reviews on the book can be easily referenced
